--Academic Committee--
       Academic Committee (AC) consists of 21 people, including 1 director, and 2 vice directors. Major responsibilities of AC including that to approve laboratory research direction and application guidelines of key laboratory open fund projects, to examine project approval and funding, to review the budget and final accounts of the laboratory, and to direct important academic activities.
       Zhou Donghua, the director of the Academic Committee, Professor of Tsinghua University, doctoral supervisor, and currently vice President of Shandong University of Science and Technology. The sixth China youth science, national award for the best, a postdoctoral fellow, winners of national outstanding youth science fund, the Ministry of Education Yangtze river scholars distinguished professor, national "ten thousand project" millions engineering talents, "pacesetter project" in the new century national, national natural science foundation of innovation research group of academic leaders, Shandong Taishan Scholar superiority characteristic discipline talents team leading talents. Member of IFAC TC on SAFEPROCESS, director of the Automation Teaching Steering Committee of higher education institutions under the Ministry of Education, member of the Discipline Appraisal Group of the State Council for "Control Science and Engineering", Vice President of the Chinese Association of Automation, director of the Technical Process Fault Diagnosis and Safety Professional Committee.
       Professor Zhou Donghua has long been committed to process monitoring, dynamic system fault diagnosis and fault-tolerant control, reliability prediction and intelligent maintenance and other theoretical and technical research. It has hosted more than 20 scientific research projects at the national, provincial and ministerial levels, such as the National 863 Project and the National Natural Science Foundation of China. Published 6 academic monographs; He has published more than 170 papers indexed by SCI in international academic journals, including 45 papers by IEEE Trans. and over 2200 SCI citations. He has won second prizes of Natural Science twice, second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress and second prizes of National Excellent Teaching Achievements.
       Gui Weihua, the deputy Director of academic Committee, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, professor and doctoral supervisor of Central South University. Academic leader of innovation research group of National Natural Science Foundation of China, director of Engineering Research Center of "Nonferrous Metallurgy Automation" of Ministry of Education, Vice chairman of Chinese Association of Automation, Vice chairman of China Association of Nonferrous Metals, honorary Chairman of Hunan Automation Society. He has long been committed to the research on the control theory, technology and engineering application of the production process of complex nonferrous metallurgy. He has won Second prizes of national Science and Technology Progress Award 3 times, first prizes of Provincial and Ministerial Level 8 times. He has won the Science and Technology Progress Award of He Liang He Li Foundation in 2009 and Hunan Guangzhao Science and Technology Award in 2012. He was awarded the "national model for teaching", "national model teacher", "national excellent teacher", "national excellent science and technology workers" and "non-ferrous metal industry in the national model worker", "China nonferrous metals industry outstanding science and technology workers", "China process control the lifetime achievement award", "process control and technology of China award", "Yang Jiachi science" and other honorary titles.

       Ding Rongjun, the deputy Director of academic Committee, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering, representative of the 19th National Congress of the COMMUNIST Party of China, Professor level senior engineer, Deputy Director of SAC/TC278 National Technical Committee on Traction Electrical Equipment and System of Standardization Administration, member of CRRC Expert Committee, national candidate of new Century Talent Project. He has long been committed to the innovative research and achievement transformation of rail transit traction control, traction converter and network control technology, and has won second prizes of National Science and Technology Progress Award twice and Provincial and Ministerial awards more than 10 times. He has won the locomotive Medal, the Achievement Award of the 7th Zhan Tianyou Railway Science and Technology Award, Mao Yisheng Railway Science and Technology Award, Hunan Guangzhao Science and Technology Award, National Model Worker and other honorary titles.
